CAMPAIGN: You’re Never Too Old To – say thank you!
You’re Never Too Old To, Emmy Monash’s community led campaign promoting and acknowledging the contribution of older people in Glen Eira has come to a close, but that doesn’t mean we need to stop the celebration!
Keep on sharing your stories. Keep on inspiring and being inspired by those around you. Age does not define us and it rarely gets in the way of us doing the things we love. You’re never too old to see new sights.
A big thank-you to all those who’ve shared their ‘you’re never too old to’ stories over the last month.
We’ve heard some wonderful stories of people who refuse to be defined by their age. They’re an inspiration to us all!
The Facebook and Twitter pages are now closed. See below for some of the highlights over Seniors Festival 2012 from Facebook. We will be sharing some of these incredible stories over the next few weeks.
We would like to pay special mention to the students at Mount Scopus, Rita Greiner, Jono Gelfand for sharing his grandfather’s story, and resident Margot Birnbaum who is learning how to use an iPad at 89 years of age! These are just some of the amazing stories shared.
Make sure to watch this space for further updates in the coming weeks. You’re never too old to challenge misconceptions and promote positive ageing!
