Melbourne Recital Centre Performance at Emmy
Emmy residents, staff and Board members were treated to an exceptional musical experience when “Coco’s Lunch” performed on 17 April. This group of five female singers captivated all in the audience of every age, including students from Wooranna Park Primary. The performances were interactive with the audience and the melodies, style, sound and effects were outstanding.
This performance was the result of an ongoing partnership which Emmy Monash has with the Melb Recital Centre through programs coordinated with Lifestyle/Life Enrichment Coordinator, Dr Pamela Bruder and her staff. They both identified Emmy Monash as a great location for their new music outreach program, “Share the Music” which provides quality music to seniors in our community.
The “Share More Music” program is externally funded by the Helen Macpherson Smith Trust and The William Buckland Foundation and representatives from these organisations attended the first session.
Residents at Emmy and the Emmy Monash Apartments were delighted by the performances, with some attending both morning and afternoon sessions. This connection with the Melbourne Recital Centre is a unique one in aged care.
