Pamela Bruder (Lifestyle and Life Enrichment Program Coordinator), has been juggling the demands of being a full-time student while working up to 4 days a week at Emmy for the past five years. Pamela has now completed her Phd

in Anthropology and Ageing. Pamela received support from management and the Board of Directors to study the program she was implementing at Emmy. Titled, “We Are Here – an ethnography of Old Age, Institutional Life,

and the Body-Self in Communal Singing”, the thesis utilises research gained from in-depth interviews conducted with staff, family and residents of Emmy Monash. We wish Pamela mazaltov on such a wonderful achievement and are thrilled that

our residents can continue to benefit from her wealth of knowledge.
