A healthy body means a healthy mind – and this is the premise behind the Busy Bodies program for Emmy Monash apartment residents. By using simple balanced strength exercises as well as dance accompanied by music, Busy Bodies helps improve fitness in a friendly social setting. Instructor and allied health professional, Linda Mellon has been running the program at for over two and a half years with much enthusiasm.

“You can really see the improvements in mood at the end of the session. Everyone is so relaxed. It’s just great to see people having fun and with big smiles on their faces,” says Linda.

Aside from the physical benefits such as increased strength and fall protection, Busy Bodies is a social occasion where fun and fitness combine, while classic hits from the 50s and the 60s are played.

Busy Bodies sessions run weekly on Thursdays from 10.30 am to 11.30 am.
