Emmy Finalist for Prestigious Award
Emmy Monash Aged Care has been shortlisted as a finalist in the “Best Dementia Care Program” category in the 2015 Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards.
This is a major achievement, as only six finalists are selected per category, from a large number of applications from Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand.
A detailed application outlining an overview of Art and Memory – Through the Senses, highlighting how the program enables dignity, supports independence and improves wellbeing of the resident was submitted, together with a short film encapsulating the program and how this is embraced by the Emmy Monash mission and values as a community organisation. An international judging committee of Aged Care and Health specialists review the applications and shortlist the finalists.
The winners of the nine categories will be announced in Singapore at the 6th Ageing Asia Innovation Forum on 15th April 2015. Each finalist application is presented. The winner is determined by the process of live voting of those delegates attending the Forum (40% influence) and the Judging Committee at the Forum (60% influence).
