Club L’Chaim – Gardening with Monet
July 4th saw Club L’Chaim members off to the National Gallery of Victoria to bask in the splendours of Monet’s Garden as part of the Melbourne Winter Masterpieces Exhibition Series. The stunning exhibition devoted to Claude Monet’s iconic garden at Giverny set the backdrop for friends, family and many others from the community to come together with a splash of Monet colour.
With a private introductory art session with an NGV guide and an exclusive kosher lunch at the NGV Tea Room, it was a truly unique event.
“From the pre-talk and the exhibition to the beautiful lunch it was just magnificent,”says Club L’Chaim Coordinator Shirley Jacobs.
The positive response from Club L’Chaim members and the community from the events thus far has been incredible. One attendee, Ruth Lewis wrote her thanks for Monet’s Garden, describing it as “the most amazing outing” she has been to and commends the Club L’Chaim team for “doing all that they do to make these events possible”.
Club L’Chaim would not be the same without its wonderful volunteers for helping us on the day. Thank you.
