Emmy residents, families and friends celebrated Chanukah with joyous and meaningful events. On Saturday 12th December, a special Shabbat Service and Kiddush was held in the Goldschlager family Synagogue. The celebrated Central Shule Choir lent their voices to a very uplifting and joyous service.
The following day festivities continued with over 200 attendees enjoying a full catered lunch (including ponchkes and latkes), music and a children’s Art & Craft Corner. Residents, families and Club L’Chaim members enjoyed the warm, festive atmosphere of the day.
Volunteer Michael Cohen, accompanied by Karen Spiegel-Neumann, joined Rabbi Stern in leading the singing of Maoz Tsur and other Chanukah songs.
The Emmy Chanukah Raffle was drawn by President Joe Krampel, and raised over $1000, with money going towards the purchase of equipment for the Lifestyle Department.
