Our second Challah Bake event as part of the world wide Shabbat Project over this coming weekend  was a resounding success this morning.

Residents were joined by their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Emmy volunteers and Club le Chaim members .  Along with a  fabulous contingent of 35 -40  young students and their teachers  from Bialik College, Beth Rivkah Ladies College and Leibler Yavneh College and Bnei Akiva , there were close to 90 participants!

The Shabbat Project Challah Bake  volunteers supported this event with much enthusiasm . not only providing their challah baking expertise on the day, but also bringing along fabulous chefs hats , aprons and challah kits.

Timmy Rubin spoke of the meaning of Shabbat, inspiring recounts of  personal Shabbat experiences.  Following the rolling,  kneading , and plaiting,  youth from all schools danced and sang together with residents filling Emmy Monash with great joy and ruach.
