Better Practice Award winner
Emmy Monash is the recipient of a 2015 Better Practice Award for the lifestyle program, Art Through The Senses.
Judged by the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency, the award is presented to aged care providers that succeed in moving beyond minimum levels of compliance to demonstrate innovative and inspirational aged care practice.
Catherine Rosenbrock, AACQA State Director Vic/Tas , presented the award in a special ceremony at Emmy Monash, stating, “Our better practice program is focused on awarding those who are providing excellence.”
One of only 7 recipients in Victoria, the Better Practice Award recognised the Art Through the Senses program that is run in conjunction with the National Gallery of Victoria.
A unique arts initiative based on a multi-sensory approach, Art Through the Senses provides residents with an opportunity to explore works of art through deeply immersive tactile interaction.
