Australian Healthcare Week Awards

21 March 2018

We are delighted to announce that Emmy Monash is a finalist in two categories at the Australian Healthcare Week Awards.

Best Aged Care Facility – Emmy Monash Gandel House

We are so proud of the amazing environment we have delivered for seniors in our community.

With the completion of Gandel House, Emmy Monash has become a more vibrant community hub, dedicated to sustaining and advancing our focus on aged care services and residential facilities. The culture of embracing innovation whilst demonstrating respect, empathy, and excellence reflects our Jewish heritage and values. Encouraging volunteers, family, students, professional partners and staff to become actively involved with residents, reflects our holistic philosophy.

To challenge the notion that quality of life diminishes with age, Emmy Monash Gandel House strikes the right balance of aspirational lifestyle with clinical care options in a positive ageing facility where residents live a full life; socially, emotionally, spiritually and physically in a refined urban landscape.
Emmy Monash encourages socialisation across generations, stimulates inclusiveness and offers opportunities for meaningful engagement. The architectural design allows for an abundance of natural light, flexible community spaces and themed lifestyle rooms which give residents more space for Emmy’s varied activities and programs.

Aged Care CEO of the Year

We are delighted that our inspirational CEO, Tanya Abramzon, has been nominated as a finalist in this prestigious category.

Tanya is an outstanding CEO, bringing strong leadership to Emmy Monash. Tanya sets and maintains the highest standards of aged care, and ensures the organisation runs in an efficient and professional manner. She is held in the highest regard by the community, regulators, staff, residents and their families. An aged care organisation is complex and over her 11 years with us Tanya has certainly steered Emmy Monash to greater heights.

Throughout our major capital works program involving the successful completion of Gandel House and the redevelopment of our Dandenong Road building, Tanya showed exceptional leadership qualities to lead Emmy Monash through this period of enormous change.

Her standing with her staff is as high as it can be. She is empathetic, a strong and decisive leader and one who is clearly across every aspect of our business.
Tanya exercises a calm authority and dignity over every aspect of Emmy Monash’s operation. She demonstrates leadership in the aged sector as well as the organisation and is an outstanding ambassador for the Board and organisation.

Continuing to grow as an individual Tanya energetically embraces personal and professional development. Her work life balance ensures a consistently high achievement of personal performance indicators.

Tanya works tirelessly to ensure that our residents are our priority and epitomizes all that is positive about Emmy Monash Aged Care.

Award winners will be announced in Sydney on Wednesday 21st March 2018.
